The Jumper Wires

You can make your own jumper wires. For this purpose use normal electronic wire. Cut it into different lengths, remove the insulation from the ends and bend the ends downwards.

Jumpers

You can also buy a set of ready-made jumpers. They have the advantage to be of the right length and they are usually color-coded.

The jumper wires are made of a conducting material and are therefore also referred to as Conductors...

All you need is wire, often referred to as telephone wire.

A useful tool to strip the isolation from the wire, is the so-called wire stripper.
