When you consider the Darlington pair you realize that the circuit can be regarded as one transistor. This "new" transistor has a base, collector and emitter and is characterized by a high current gain. An example of a Darlington transistor is the BC517. Setting up the circuit shown, you quickly realize that the Darlington transistor BC 517 has very similar characteristics to the Darlington pair. |
