Experiment 7 - The PNP Darlington Pair

Build the circuit shown using only the PNP transistors BC 557 B.

This circuit is also characterized by a large gain. However, you have to turn the potentiometer P1 in the opposite direction, analogous to the simple PNP transistor circuit.

The following also applies to the PNP Darlington Schaltung...

  • the gain βD = βT1 × βT2.
  • a base-emitter voltage UBE = 1,30 V.
