Experiment 16 - The astable Multivibrator using Schmitt-Trigger

To obtain a robust astable multivibrator, it is common to use logic gates with a Schmitt-trigger.

In the circuit shown, you use the Schmitt-Trigger NAND gates of a C-MOS 4093.

If you connect the battery, the LED begins to flash.

Surely you realize the similarity to the astable multivibrator of NOT gates. However, using Schmitt Trigger compensates for some of the disadvantages.
