Introduction Multivibrator

Have you ever worked with flashing lights, blinkers, signal delay systems or flip-flops? Then you have used multivibrators in one form or another. But what are multivibrators really? What do they look like, how do they work and where are they used?

Multivibrators switch back and forth between two states. In the case of a flashing light or blinker this occurs spontaneously, whereas in a flip-flop circuit you switch between the states using push-button switches.
