Introduction Kirchhoff's Laws

The Kirchhoff's laws describe the relationship of current and voltage in electrical circuits. They can be applied to simple circuits, but the real strength of the Kirchhoff's laws is in multi-loop and complex circuits.

Kirchhoff's laws, also referred to as the Kirchhoff's rules, contain two different laws...

• the Kirchhoff's current law (KCL) and
• the Kirchhoff's voltage law (KVL).

The KCL makes statements about the electrical current, the KVL about voltages in a multi-loop circuit.

In 16 experiments, the Kirchhoff rules be introduced and illustrated step by step. Thereby simple circuits are discussed, but you also recognize how the Kirchhoff's laws help to analyze complex circuits.
